First of all, Suitcases

We purchased 2 large suitcases for each of us .

Since we will use Emirates '(Arabian airline) economy class, we can each bring 2 carry on bags up to 23 kg, and the total dimensions (length + width + height) of each piece must not exceed 150 cm (59 inches) person, according to the baggage guidelines.

We were advised not to bring luggage that looked expensive. The suitcases we bought, are 100L for around ¥7000 .

We went on shopping spree for a list below!

Kitchen Items

· plastic containers

・Zip locks

・plastic wrap

・aluminum foil

These things are cheaper and better quality to buy here. We got them in IKEA and 100 Yen shop .

・kitchen knife

It was suggested we bring a useful, sharp one.

Cooking Items

・rice cooker, and rice

If you want to eat rice while staying abroad for more than a year where you can't buy a rice cooker, you had better bring one. We decided to bring a 3 cup rice cooker (3합밥) because Yumero is .

But be aware, a transformer is necessary to convert the voltage in order to use Korean electrical products !

Transformer and Converter plug

In Argentina,

• Power plug sockets: type C and I
• Standard voltage: 220–240 V

The voltage in Japan is 100V , one of the lowest in the world. Basically, worldwide, a compatible voltage range is from 100 to 240V. (Some areas in Australia, Ghana, and South Africa are 250V though.)

Electric products that support 100 to 240V do not require a “transformer” because they are compatible overseas.

100-240V 대응 기기라면 변압기 불필요. (iPhone이나 PC의 충전기 등은 대체로 괜찮다.)

Check the power label or manual of your device for the wattage number and find out whether you need a (step-down) transformer for use outside of Japan. If it is “100V”,“110V”,etc., a (step- down) voltage transformer is required.

In Japan the power plug sockets are type A and B. So a type C and I plug converter may be needed.

・Furikake (seasoned powder for rice)

・Japanese soup stock

We were told that we would miss the tastes of Japan and many of our friends gave us these. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Though I have heard that the main seasoning in Argentina is salt and pepper, which I like, I would like to try seasonings with Argentine beef and so on.

Health Care Supplies

· hair-dryer and curling iron for international use

I decided to purchase a hair-dryer and a curling iron for travel abroad (100–120V/200–240V) .

Products with heating elements like these, are even easier to the hazard of fire , because they're designed to get very hot. The additional electricity can cause them to get so hot they will explode, melt, or start on fire So you must use a voltage transformer again.

But the power consumption of these heating devices is often more than 1000 Watts. This means that you need a heavier and more expensive voltage transformer which is substantially heavier, bulkier and even more expensive (than a travel hair might not be suited for travel and you risk damage in a suitcase.

This was recommended for garbage.

· Cosmetics, skin lotion, sunscreen

If you have favorites, you should bring enough for a year.

These are not so cheap in Argentina. Also, it seems that these are not as soft as those in Japan. I heard that “ Always ” sanitary napkin is better than others in Argentina.

Drugs

· antibiotics: for bacterial infections

· antibiotic eye drops : for sty (물건)

· fever reducer

· alergy medicine

・motion sickness medicine(취해 방지)

· probiotics (정장제)

· medicated gargle (Isojin 이소진)

I have heard that it is not easy to see a doctor in Buenos Aires so I decided to bring these since I may be able to self diagnosis and treat common illnesses.

상비약 & 항균제!

Antibiotics are especially effective to directly treat and prevent bacterial infections. It is not always best to treat yourself without seeing a doctor for a prescription. Be careful to take antibiotics properly. If you take them when it is not necessary, they and could cause harmful side effects.

Of course, the best advice is to lead a healthy lifestyle and prevent illness !
